Join Us at the 2026 Interagency Accessibility Forum (IAAF)

May 13, 2026

This year’s annual Interagency Accessibility Forum (IAAF) will be held in a hybrid format on May 21 and 22. The event will be built on the theme Future-Ready Accessibility: Preparing Government for What’s Next, and will take place at the GSA Headquarters building and over Zoom for Government. IAAF will feature a blend of presentations, workshops, and discussions led by accessibility professionals in the federal, private, and other sectors. Presentation topics include best practices in managing and implementing digital accessibility imperatives including Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

The U.S. Access Board will be holding two sessions during IAAF this year. On Thursday, May 21, from 9:45 – 10:45 AM, Communications Specialist David O’Keefe will lead a session on the topic Advancing Accessibility and Engagement on Social Media. The next day, on Friday, May 22, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, Public Affairs Specialist Amy Nieves will lead a networking session on the topic Connections That Move Accessibility Forward: Guided Networking for 508 Program Managers. Please note that the Friday session is in-person only and is limited to federal Section 508 program managers. More details can be found on the IAAF agenda.

IAAF is hosted by the Government-wide IT Accessibility Program within the Office of Government-wide Policy (OGP) at the General Services Administration (GSA), and co-sponsored by the Access Board in collaboration with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and other federal agencies.

IAAF provides a venue for federal accessibility professionals, buyers, developers, designers, project managers, leadership, and many others to exchange best practices in managing and implementing digital accessibility standards and reporting required by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
