U.S. Access Board Staff to Present at CSUN Assistive Technology Conference
U.S. Access Board staff Kathy Eng and Tim Creagan will present at CSUN Annual Assistive Technology Conference, which will be held in Anaheim, CA from March 14 – 17, 2023. The CSUN Conference is a forum on technology for people with disabilities where researchers, practitioners, and educators can share knowledge, innovations, and best practices to promote inclusion for all.
Eng will present on the “ICT Testing Baseline Portfolio and Alignment Framework” session on March 16 at 1:20 p.m. (PST). Eng and her co-presenters from General Administration Services, Andrew Nielson and Michael Horton, will review the development of the ICT Testing Baseline for Web Accessibility, its supporting framework to assess alignment of methodologies, and other activities to improve testing for Section 508 conformance of information and communication technology.
Eng and Creagan will also host CSUN’s Birds of a Feather: Government and Policy networking event on March 16 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. (PST) in the Platinum 1 room. This event is open to all conference attendees.
Eng, Creagan, Nielson, and Horton will present on the livestreamed public presentation “FED Talk: Accessibility with the Access Board and GSA” on March 17 at 8:00 a.m. (PST). This presentation will discuss guidance on the interpretation and implementation of the Revised Section 508 Standards across a product’s lifecycle, including procurement, design and development, testing, and operations and maintenance, and address common questions about Section 508 provisions.
