HUD’s Office of Fair Housing/Equal Opportunity to Provide Training on Fair Housing Act’s Accessibility Requirements for Usable Doors
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Fair Housing/Equal Opportunity will provide a virtual training on the Fair Housing Act’s Accessibility Requirements on March 21, 2023 from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. (ET). This session will address the technical specifications required by the Fair Housing Act (FHA) Requirement 3 for usable doors, doorways, types of doors, and dwelling unit doors. Presenters will also discuss recommendations for compliant usable doors. Architects, designers, contractors, builders and developers, disability and housing advocates, and individuals interested in FHA are encouraged to attend, and attendees will gain practical knowledge and resources on designing compliant doors.
