Mario Damiani, Senior Compliance Specialist, has worked at the Access Board since 2014. Damiani handles complaints filed with the Board alleging violations of the Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) of 1968. This work involves making legal determinations regarding jurisdiction and the applicable ABA standards and, where violations of the standards are determined to exist, working with agencies to ensure that violations are remediated through corrective action. Prior to joining the Access Board, Damiani worked as a Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), an Attorney-Advisor at the District of Columbia Department of Health, a law clerk at the District of Columbia Office of Bar Counsel, and a law clerk for the Senior Judges of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. Damiani graduated from The Catholic University of America where he received both his J.D. and B.A. in Politics (Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa).
