Regarding docket No. 2004-1:
Please help disabled people to secure a handicapped cabin. I am disabled and must book a handicapped cabin at least one year in advance to be able to enjoy a cruise vacation. You must increase the amount of handicapped cabins on a ship. I need to use my scooter and wheelchair. The cruiselines say that these mobility aids may not be parked in the hall for safety reasons. Therefore, where can a disabled person safely park his/her device? There must be room in the cabin. More cabins need to be built that are accessible to all people.
I also believe that grab bars should be placed in all cabins for the safety of the passengers. Some people have balance problems that are aggravated by rough seas.
Of course, all areas of the ship should be accessible to handicapped persons including the swimming pools and tenders.
Thank you for helping all disabled passengers.
