I would like to emphasize the need for some like of real captioning for cruise ship announcements, particularly emergency announcements. Most of us who are hearing impaired can HEAR the announcements but cannot UNDERSTAND them because we have poor word discrimination which causes all the words to “run together” and become unintelligible.
