My name is Kim Mettache. Recently, I went on a cruise, while I had a fabulous time, I am also someone with profound hearing loss.
You have no idea, what it feels like to be deaf and not hear the public announcements. What if the call was to abandon ship? I wouldn't hear it.
I would like ALL cruise ships to have closed captioning access. And why not?
I urge you to make ADA laws and guidelines to better protect and serve those with hearing loss. I would also like to see all movies, plays and musicals entertainment be closed captioned as well.
