I am writing regarding regulations for cruise ships to ensure that you address the needs of those who live with hearing loss. I concur with everything that was submitted by the Hearing Loss of America and Hearing Access Program. I have a 7 year old daughter who was born with a severe hearing loss. You have no idea the day to day struggle she faces living with this invisible disability. When we go on vacation to escape and relax this disability goes with us. Why shouldn't she enjoy the movies or shows and destination tours? Things like preferential seating, closed and open captioned movies, and interpreters are just some of the ways that help her and others. Simple things like stocking hearing aid batteries as you do film on the ship's store could be a lifesaver to those who wear aids and run out on the sea but still want to hear. Again, please remember this disability. Thank you for your time.
