Let me second here the comments of my colleagues and friends at Hearing Loss Association of America concerning access on cruise ships for hard of hearing people.
You will have read about the obvious safety and comfort issues along the way. Let me add and emphasize a point about movies and live theater performances. WE NEED CAPTIONING!!! There is no other technology that is available that fully addresses the needs of hard of hearing people in cinema and live theater. And, should you care to do the research, you will find (contrary to what theater owners may tell you) that many people with "normal" greatly appreciate captions when they are available for those times when they miss some of the words.
OK, thanks for listening and please give us your concentration of thought and serious consideration of our needs.
Sincerely,
Peter C. Fackler
