I am writing to let you know that I fully support the comments of Janice Schacter of the Hearing Access Program. As a deaf individual who had previously been on cruises, I fully understand the frustration that lack of access provides on cruise ships.
It is important to remember that the deaf and the hard of hearing pay the same amount for their cruise as their hearing peers. Yet the deaf and hard of hearting individuals do not have 100% access to the various programming and auxiliary activities being provided by the cruise operator. Anything that can be done to make the cruise experience more enjoyable for these individuals is immensely appreciated.
