Outdoor Developed Areas

ABOUT THIS RULEMAKING

The Board is developing new guidelines for outdoor developed areas that will address access to trails, beach access routes, and picnic and camping areas. In June 2007, the Board published the guidelines in proposed form for public comment. The Board has revised the guidelines based on the comments received and has released a draft of the final version to provide an additional opportunity for comment. The draft final guidelines are available for review and comment until December 18, 2009. Comments can be submitted through Regulations.gov.
