The Rehabilitation Act of 1973 prohibits discrimination based on disability in federally funded employment and programs and services, by Federal contractors, and in the availability and use of Federal agencies’ electronic and information technology.
Section 501 of this act prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in federally funded employment.
Section 503 prohibits discrimination based on disability by Federal contractors and
Section 504 prohibits discrimination based on disability in federally funded programs and services.
Section 508 requires that Federal agencies’ electronic and information technology be accessible to people with disabilities, including employees and members of the public.
