Building Elements Designed for Children's Use Module Overview

Specifications for children's use apply to certain building elements, rather than to buildings and spaces. These elements include drinking fountains, water closets, toilet stalls, lavatories, and sinks and seating and tables. The exceptions allow you to apply different specifications where these elements are to be used primarily by children, rather than adults.

Advisory information in the appendix recognizes the differences in the size, stature, and reach ranges of children ages 3 through 12.
